Sherlock Systems Introduces High-Definition Media Player for Digital Signage

03-Jan-2013
Sherlock Systems, a Network Allies company, has introduced the SherPlayer SI-NUC-3217 High-Definition Media Player, its smallest media player at 4” x 4” x 2”. Its compact size and lower power consumption allows for innovative solutions, and it is the perfect media player for Digital Signage applications. Visual retail is the next big step in the evolution of Digital Signage. Remotely managed, interactive intelligent video displays deliver advertising, information and visually engaging experiences that are informative, immersive, and fun.

“Digital signage solutions require a lot of pieces and we’re not experts in all of them; we’re computer system builders. We rely heavily on our partners, on this huge collaborative effort, to deliver complete solutions to our customers,” says Dave Sallander, CEO of Sherlock Systems. As a result, Sherlock has developed partnerships with other experts in the Digital Signage industry, including ISVs, VARs, and IT distributors. He notes that digital signage solutions are being deployed in a wide variety of settings, including automobile dealerships, retail outlets, healthcare facilities, corporate headquarters, and more.

The features of the new SherPlayer SI-NUC-3217 Media Player are not compromised due to its compact size. It is equipped with an Intel® Core™ i3-3217U Dual Core processor, Intel® QS77 Express Chipset, DDR3 1600MHz memory, and up to 240GB of storage on Intel® Solid State Drives. With the integrated Intel® HD 4000 Graphics, this system will fully support all 1080p High-Definition content. The SI-NUC-3217 includes the Windows® 7 or Windows® 8 operating system.
