Acceptance Test Development
Network Allies can help ISVs and OEMs develop appropriate acceptance tests for their appliance solutions. Acceptance tests describe the black-box requirements for your appliance, and represent the criteria by which your customers will determine whether your appliance meets their needs. Because we ship turnkey products directly to you or to your end-user customers, we use a combination of in-house, manufacturer-supplied, and customer-supplied testing processes for acceptance testing.
As part of acceptance test development, we establish baseline numbers for desired performance or functionality. For example, we can create a statistical baseline from a large set of usage data runs. Or, when testing is done to calculate the effectiveness of an appliance, we will perform a load test without the appliance and evaluate specific parameters. We can then identify usage patterns, define design lab and application flows, and test the appliance under load. To evaluate the effectiveness of your appliance, we compare, publish, and certify results showing how your appliance performed against the baseline.
Through our acceptance test development services, we can quickly and easily expand and revise test cases as your requirements change, validate customer requirements and specifications, uncover problems or defects that may have been previously missed, and accelerate your product delivery cycle by shipping known, "good" turnkey solutions to your customers.
